RESCHEDULED: NYONEL 2020 Annual Meeting

Greetings Nursing Professionals

NYONEL’s annual conference “Back to our Nursing roots: Transforming the Health of our Communities” is scheduled for September 13-15, 2020.   This robust event includes presentations from many expert leaders from our national and local community of nurse leaders. The event was created in a manner to meet the learning and comfort needs of our attendees.  This hybrid conference will include live sessions (Tarrytown, NY) that will be streamed as well as virtual sessions.  All sessions will be recorded and made available later to all registered participants.  We warmly welcome you to participate in either opportunity.  The Opening Keynote on Sunday at 2:15 pm will be presented by Mary Beth Kingston, AONL Past President.

A Pre-conference session is available on Sunday the 13th focused on Building your Brand and Shaping your Legacy, presented by Phyllis Quinlan.  Dr. Quinlan, a practicing nurse for over 42 years in a variety of settings, is a nationally known author and speaker.  Among her many roles and accomplishments, she has been a Nurse Entrepreneur since 1994 and the career/personal coach for the Perioperative Nurses Association/AORN since 2012.

If this conference was not enough for your learning pleasure, the Hudson Valley Educators have provided an additional opportunity on Saturday September 12th from 8am to 4pm.  Michele Deck will be presenting on the needs of diverse learners and techniques to improve the educator's effectiveness and the learner's experience. Dr. Deck, a nationally renowned Nurse Educator, presides as the CEO of two companies, one of which she co-founded, that provide seminars on adult learning and supplies the most innovative and creative tools available to educators worldwide.
